BATHURST: Speed and tyre incentive at Bob Jane T-Marts 1000

Watching the V8 Supercars reach speeds in excess of 210kph along Bob Jane T-Marts Straight is enticing in itself for spectators sitting in the Bob Jane Grandstand at this year's Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 at Bathurst from October 9 to 12.
Now spectators have an additional incentive to sit in the Bob Jane Grandstand at this year's Ultimate Showdown. One lucky person will win a set of tyres from Bob Jane T-Marts valued at more than $500.
The Bob Jane Grandstand is a new feature of this year's Event and will be located at Shell Corner at the end of Bob Jane T-Marts Straight and start of Mountain Straight.
IMG Director of Motorsport James Ashworth said the Bob Jane Grandstand was added out of demand for additional grandstand seating.
"The Bob Jane Grandstand takes the number of grandstands along Bob Jane T-Marts Straight to three and increases the number of grandstand seats to more than 1800," said Ashworth.
"This became a necessity given the record crowd that was attracted to the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 last year of more than 163,000.
"We are on track to better this crowd again and have already added more seats to the Bob Jane Grandstand to cater for the demand."
Close to 50 seats remain in the Bob Jane Grandstand with potential buyers encouraged to get in soon to go into the draw to win the set of tyres courtesy of Bob Jane T-Marts.
1963 and 1964 Bathurst winner Bob Jane, now naming rights sponsor, said the set of tyres will be a great reward for a supporter of the event and motorsport.
"We are really pleased to offer a new set of tyres to a lucky spectator in the new Bob Jane Grandstand this year," said Jane.
"It will not only reward the ticket buyer for supporting Australia's premier motorsport event but it promotes safe driving and the importance of good tyres on road vehicles."
