AVESCO: Corporate sales flying for season 'Grand Final'
27/8/2003 0:36 (Press Release) -
Corporate packages for this year's inaugural VIP Petfoods Main Event at Eastern Creek Raceway on November 28-30 are more than 70 percent sold.
The final round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series, the 'Main Event' is almost certain to be the season decider in one of the most hotly contested touring car championships in the world and corporate sales for the event are 'on fire'.
Event organiser AVESCO are considering the building of extra structures to cater for the demand from some of Australia's leading corporations, according to Chairman Tony Cochrane.
Just 150 seats remain for the event's corporate club, where individual patrons can enjoy two days of hospitality, including all food and beverage for just $425.
"I think the level of corporate support for this event is testimony to the interest this category has created," said Cochrane.
"So many companies and organisations have elected to use this event as their annual Christmas party.
"I think early indications are that this will be one of the biggest motorsport events seen in Sydney.
"Some of the incentives being offered for early General Admission ticket buyers are also encouraging early sales.
"We have found that many fans are getting in early to give tickets as a Father's Day gift."
General admission tickets have gone on sale through Ticketmaster7.com and on 1300 136 122. People wanting to buy for groups of 20 or more can call (02) 8272 2755.
Anyone pre-buying a ticket for the event through Ticketmaster7 will go into the draw for a host of prizes, including a year's supply of VB beer.
To enter the prize draw you simply have to be over the age of 18 and pre-purchase your tickets for the VIP Petfoods Main Event by midnight, November 21. For full terms and conditions of the competition please visit v8supercars.com.au.
