Supercar coverage up for Logie award

Channel Ten’s V8 Supercar coverage has again been nominated for a prestigious TV Week Logie Award.
The network’s marathon, high-rating telecast of last year’s V8 Supercar 1000 at Bathurst is up for the industry-voted Most Outstanding Sports Coverage gong. It is the third nomination in as many years for Ten’s Bathurst telecast, including a win at the 2000 awards.
Other nominees include the network’s Gold Coast Indy coverage, which featured the V8 Supercars, Channel Seven’s Bledisloe Cup Rugby and Channel Nine’s coverage of Wimbledon and the World Swimming Championships.
Television’s ‘night of nights’ is on April 28.
