One of football’s lions will become an honorary Holden lion this weekend as Brownlow medallist Jason Ackermanis joins the Holden Racing Team.

The self-confessed petrol head will pilot the Hot Wheels show car at Sandown Raceway, receiving tips from HRT’s Jason Bright.
Ackermanis will also be strapped into Mark Skaife’s Commodore on Sunday for a hot lap around Sandown.
The Premiership winner said it made sense to connect with the factory Holden outfit, because “you should always stick with the best, I say.”
Meanwhile, Big Brother starlet Jemma (aren’t her fifteen minutes almost up?) will headline a Ford street party in Melbourne on Thursday to celebrate the V8 Supercars’ grand finale.
She’ll be joined by Ford’s V8 Supercar squad, including Gibson Motorsport’s Craig Lowndes, for the Lygon Street carnival, beginning at 4:30pm.
