V81000 SHOOTOUT WARM-UP - Bright smashes record

Jason Bright has smashed the Bathurst qualifying record in this morning’s warm-up, and looks the man to beat in the Top Fifteen Shootout.
Bright recorded an incredible 2:08.76min flier, slashing .75sec off Mark Larkham’s 1999 qualifying record.
Bright was over a second quicker this morning than provisional pole-sitter, Glenn Seton.
Russell Ingall was third-fastest, ahead of Mark Skaife.
Interestingly, Greg Ritter will steer the No. 18 Shell Helix Falcon on its hot-lap (as opposed to the more experienced Cameron Mclean), and Todd Kelly has been given the nod over Greg Murphy to run the K-Mart Commodore in the shootout.
