Bathurst bookies like Skaife, Bright

The Holden Racing Team’s No. 1 Commodore is a surprise favourite with the bookmakers ahead of next week’s V8 Supercar 1000 at Bathurst.
The bookies have installed Mark Skaife and Jason Bright as 15/4 ($4.75) favourites for the race, despite the team yet to confirm their pairings.
Shell Series leaders Skaife and Bright drove together at the recent Queensland 500, but may be split for Bathurst and teamed with enduro imports, Tony Longhurst and Tomas Mezera. An announcement is expected before the end of the week.
The second HRT Commodore is at $11, though that price will shorten if Jason Bright drives the car.
According to the NSW SportsTab, Queensland 500 victors Paul Radisich and Steven Johnson are second favourite for the race at 4/1. The Castrol Commodore of Larry Perkins and Russell Ingall is on the third line of betting, quoted at 9/2.
Greg Murphy and Todd Kelly’s K-Mart Commodore is the only other entry in single-figure odds at $7 (6/1).
