Mundy to race at Bathurst - twice

Konica Series campaigners Kevin Mundy and Garry Holt will unite for next month’s V8 Supercar 1000 at Bathurst, aboard Holt’s Eastern Creek Karts EL Falcon.
New Zealand-born Mundy, 32, has never set foot on Mt. Panorama, but says Saturday’s 30-lap Konica event, where he’ll run his Craig Harris-prepared Actron Air Falcon, will prepare him for Sunday’s marathon.
“Eight months ago, I had never driven a V8 Supercar, and had never driven a race car with any more than 100 horsepower...and now I have a drive in the Bathurst 1000 with the Eastern Creek Karting team,” Mundy said.
”Racing at Bathurst is something that I have always dreamed about, and now I have the opportunity to do it – twice on the same weekend!”
Mundy will test Holt’s rebuilt Falcon at Eastern Creek Raceway later this month.
