V8 BRutes on support card for Bathurst

A Ford V Holden duel of a different kind will be fought on Mt Panorama this year, as the V8 BRutes announce their inclusion on the Bathurst 1000 support card.
Up to 20 Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore Utes, part of the new PROCAR-run V8 BRutes Series, will compete in three non-championship races over the weekend, with the final race to be held as a curtain-raiser to the 1000km V8 Supercar epic.
“Bathurst will be a motorsport treat for everyone, but particularly for many people from the bush,” PROCAR Chief Executive, Ross Palmer, said.
“Where they come from, the Utes (are) almost a cultural icon, so to see the latest Ford and Holden Utes on the toughest track in Australia will be a huge attraction.”
