Morris, Ingall advise mighty Mick on four-wheeled driving

Motorcycle legend Mick Doohan received some helpful advice from Paul Morris and Russell Ingall before making his four-wheeled debut at the Targa Tasmania rally today.
Doohan was testing his works Mercedes at Sandown Raceway last week, where he received advice from the two experienced touring car racers. They were able to offer pointers on brake and suspension set-up as Doohan readied himself for the week-long Targa challenge.
"I don't have a lot of experience, so it was good to have some input from Paul (Morris) and Russell (Ingall),” the five-time World 500cc Motorcycle champion said.
"It definitely helped me because they had some different ideas on the way to drive the car and also the set-up."
Newly-signed Ford-Tickford Racing pilot Jim Richards made a perfect start to his Targa title defence today, winning the Launceston prologue. The 53-year-old will be ably supported by co-pilot, V8 Supercar course commentator Barry Oliver when the touring section begins tomorrow.
Doohan was a distant 55th today, while Peter Brock, competing in a factory-backed Holden Ute, was 40th. The 5.08km prologue determined starting positions for tomorrow.
