Ellery named Ford Club patron

Steven Ellery has won the support of the thriving Ford XR6/XR8 Club of Australia.
The Queenslander has been named as the Tickford-endorsed, V8 Supercar-style club’s patron. While the club will continue to support the entire Ford fleet, Ellery’s patronage will ensure a fan base boom at selected events this year.
The club, which has received a groundswell of support of late, now has a team to call its own, says Ford Club Promotions Manager David Elmslie.
“Steve’s the kind of guy we wanted to have as a patron. We’re a family club and we wanted to champion a young Ford driver who has the goods to make it all the way to the top. For us, the choice to ask Steve was clear,” Elmslie said.
Said Ellery; “The amount of support is amazing, I came away feeling confident for the season and knowing that I have a big fan base behind me. I’m proud to be their patron and am glad to be part of such a big club.”
The Ford Club will offer vocal track-side support for the Super Cheap Auto ace at up to four rounds this season.
