Key sponsor's long-term commitment to DJR
13/4/2005 23:18 (Press Release) -
Accor Première Vacation Club (APVC) has re-signed with Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) for a further three years. APVC, a subsidiary of Accor hotels, which owns some of the world's most famous hotels, offers Dick Johnson and holidaymaker's sensational accommodation and holiday packages.
The deal means that APVC will retain windscreen and add new front spoiler signage rights on the Westpoint Racing Fords driven by Steve Johnson and Glenn Seton in the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
For Westpoint Racing, the relationship means that when travelling, it will continue to stay at some of Accor's top hotels, including: Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and All Seasons.
"Dick Johnson Racing is delighted to continue its relationship with Accor Première Vacation Club," DJR General Manager Steve Chalker said.
"Thanks to APVC the team enjoys the comfort of its hotels at V8 events all over Australia.
"APVC hotels give the drivers and the team a number of convenient services, like breakfast, spa, sauna and gym facilities, massage and room service; it just makes life easier when we are on the road."
For APVC the decision to extend its sponsorship of the team was not a difficult one.
"Working with Dick Johnson Racing has proven to be a wonderful strategic and beneficial move for Accor Première Vacation Club," APVC Director of Marketing Myles Bryson said.
"In terms of brand recognition our name on the DJR Ford has been the difference. APVC is seen by millions of people at the track and in the media, which has helped raise our profile and enquiry rate.
"More people now understand what APVC is, what we do and how we can help them with their holiday planing.
"APVC is looking to further promote its services using Dick Johnson Racing."
