Mark Skaife:
“We’ve had a good weekend – for Todd to finish third for the round and for both of us to press on and finish well after all of the setbacks, just shows that we’ve really got some potential in this team.

“The team has done an excellent job this weekend. There’s a great vibe around the place. The Red team is certainly back – in terms of atmosphere, it’s as good as I have ever seen it, and that includes the championship years.

“We’ve been a second a lap quicker here this year and that’s not just about engine power, it’s about tyres and the way you drive these things. I’m happy with how the package has been turned out and I’m confident there’s more to come.”

Todd Kelly:
“Considering the amount of things that have gone wrong this weekend it’s bloody good to be up there at the end of the weekend, to be honest. All the guys are pretty rapt back at the garage.

“In that race I made it pretty hard for myself by getting two drive-through penalties and going to the back of the grid twice, so I had to spend the whole race passing cars. It was one of the hardest races I’ve driven in that respect.

“That’s really cost us and it was a bit of a shame because the car was really good. I got a fantastic start and passed a lot of cars, and then had to come back and pass them all again later. We’re just looking forward now to the rest of the season and seeing how we can get more out of these cars because at the moment they’re great.”
