STEWARDS HEARING ARISING FROM RACE 1
The matter involving Greg Ritter, car #5, running over pit equipment,
will go to a Stewards Hearing this evening.
PENALTIES IMPOSED DURING RACE 2
Todd Kelly, car #22, was required to complete a pit lane penalty for a
breach of Code of Driving Conduct, crossing the pit entry line.
Todd Kelly, car #22, was required to complete a pit lane penalty for a
driving infringement involving Max Wilson, car #45.
Jamie Whincup, car #23, was required to complete a pit lane penalty for
a pit stop infringement, in that seven people were across the prescribed
line during the pit stop (maximum of six allowed).
Rick Kelly, car #15, was required to complete a pit lane penalty for a
pit stop infringement, in that seven people were across the prescribed
line during the pit stop (maximum of six allowed).
INVESTIGATIONS TO BE HELD AFTER RACE 2
The IPO will hold investigations into the following:
* Brad Jones, car #21, and John Bowe, car #12 (Team BOC), for
non-attendance at the Driver's Parade;
* Steve Owen, car #25, and Matthew White, car #52 (Fujitsu
Racing), for non-attendance at the Driver's Photograph;
* Contact between Anthony Tratt, car #75, and Mark Winterbottom,
car #20 at turn 12; and
* Contact between Steven Johnson, car #17, and Paul Morris, car
#67 on lap 72.
RESULTS OF OTHER INVESTIGATIONS
The IPO held an investigation into an alleged breach of rules involving
pit lane garage rules by Skaife Sports and Britek Motorsport.
Offence: Pit lane garage doors not fully open (E2.3.3.1 and B6.8.4)
Decision: Breach of rules admitted and penalty accepted.
Penalty: Skaife Sports and Britek Motorsport were fined $2,000 each.
