Disappointment for Porter

Race Two of the HPDC V8 Supercar Series had Mark Porter’s Hyundai Construction Racing Falcon in 7th on the grid, after an exuberant drive from the rear of the grid in Race 1.
Showing no fear of running of cold tyres, Porter repeated his Race 1 starting performance, stealing 4th place before the chicane at the end of pit straight.
By turn 3 he was challenging Tony D’Alberto for 3rd, but the move didn’t come off.
About half way through lap 1 the Hyundai Construction Racing Falcon coasted to a stop. Porter’s race was run.
It’s the smallest things that sometimes ruin your day. On this occasion an electrical connector in the Hyundai Construction Racing Falcon failed. A disappointing end to Round 1.
The Hyundai Construction Racing Falcon BA will start in Round 2 of the HPDC V8 Supercar Series at Wakefield Park from 13 to 15 May.
