INVESTIGATIONS HELD AFTER QUALIFYING
The IPO held an investigation into a pit lane weighing incident
involving John Bowe, car #12.
Offence: Breach of Pit Lane Weigh Scale Regulations (B6.7.20), in that
car #12 left the weigh scales prior to being directed to do so by
officials.
Decision: Breach proved by admission.
Penalty: Loss of times to the point in the session where the breach of
rules occurred.
The IPO held an investigation into a pit lane driving incident involving
Cameron McConville, car #33.
Offence: Breach of Code of Driving Conduct (B6.7.5), in that car #33
veered over and crossed the white line prior to reaching its pit bay.
Decision: Breach proved by admission.
Penalty: Fine of $4,000 with $2,000 suspended until 21 March 2005.
INVESTIGATIONS HELD AFTER TOP 10 SHOOTOUT
The IPO held an investigation into the pit lane parking procedure by
Jason Bright, car #6.
Offence: Breach of Pit Lane Parking Procedure during Top 10 Shootout
(B6.7.13), in that car #6 was seven minutes late in pushing the car into
the required position at the beginning of the Top 10 Shootout.
Decision: Breach proved by admission.
Penalty: Exclusion from Top 10 Shootout, car #6 relegated to 10th
position on the grid.
