Dominant driving display by Canto at Clipsal

Dean Canto has given Dick Johnson Racing's newest sponsor, Gatorz Billet Eyewear, a stunning start to finish victory at Adelaide's Clipsal 500. Canto won the HPDC V8 Supercar Series twilight race easily, with Adam Macrow coming second and Tony D'Alberto third.
The evening race was Canto's first Development Series race since the 2000 season, the year he won the Championship, and his sixth victory from 16 starts.
"It was a sweet win," Dean Canto said.
"I was out there to do it for the team, they are a great bunch of guys and a pleasure to work with, they gave me a great car to drive."
Canto was so happy with his Ford that he believed he had an unfair advantage.
"I think we had a bit of an edge," Canto said
I really didn't have to push that hard, only when it was required.
"When it was (required), the Falcon responded perfectly."
Canto was the only driver to go under the one minute twenty-five second (1:25s) mark, something he did on several occasions.
"The car worked its tyres well," Canto said.
"I would have done a few more twenty-fours if it hadn't been for the traffic.
"But it was good, I can't complain, I am very happy with the first win, hopefully there are plenty more to come."
