The second V8 Supercar Race of the Grand Prix weekend was all about tyre selection. In what was certainly an entertaining and unpredictable race, three accidents within the first lap ensured that the race lineup changed early on.

Craig Lowndes prooved once again that he's a man on a mission, finishing up in fourth position in the final race for the V8 Supercars at the Australian Grand Prix.
Craig definately had the drive of the day in Saturday's race - the GP100 in Melbourne - and this gave him an excellent position at the starting grid to make his quest for the top five.
"I've been extremely happy with my times over the weekend. While I got pushed back to P31 on Friday, to make make it back to P4 today was an excellent result for the Team. We've seen that the cars have what it takes and I can't wait to get out there at Adelaide," said Craig after the final race on Sunday.
Steve Ellery in Car 88 was taken out on lap 1, through no fault of his own, which was an unfortunate end to what was otherwise a great weekend to begin the season.
"The team is looking ahead to Clipsal now. We came out this weekend very much to get the new drivers into their cars and give them a good run," said Roland Dane, Team Principal for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
"Clipsal is the first round of what should be a stellar year for Team Betta Electrical, our team partners and supporters."
Despite the setback on Friday, Craig finished tenth overall for the weekend.
