Thousands expected at SBR Fan Day

Back-to-back V8 Supercar champions Stone Brothers Racing are expecting one of the biggest non-race weekend crowds ever for their annual Fan Day at their Yatala workshop tomorrow.
Fans will have the chance to meet with Caltex Racing’s Russell Ingall and Pirtek Racing's Marcos Ambrose and get a "sneak peak" at the new SBR ride car.
There will be the chance to grab an autograph, get a photograph of the cars and secure massive "at cost" discounts on merchandise from previous seasons.
Some of the new 2005 and back-to-back merchandise range will be on sale and there will also be a host of racing memorabilia up for grabs and bits and pieces from the SBR cars.
SBR held their first Fan Day a couple of years ago and they have become a pre-season “must do” for V8 Supercar fans.
“The response to the Fan Days has been fantastic and we are expecting a lot of people through our doors on Saturday,” said team co-owner Ross Stone.
“These days really give people a chance to have a look at the cars and the workshop close up.
“There is also the chance to grab a bit of a bargain with merchandise from previous seasons.”
Heading into his third season with SBR, Ingall has his first elusive V8 Supercar championship in his sights in 2005.
"The response we had to the Fan Day last year was incredible and you can be sure it is only going to get bigger yet again," said Ingall.
"I had a great year with SBR last season and I am looking forward to going one better in 2005."
The Fan Day will have a family feel with show bags, balloons and sausage sizzle for SBR's younger fans.
