One month left to get a V8 Supercar Yearbook
16/2/2005 18:43 (Press Release) -
The first Official V8 Supercar Yearbook is nearing the end of its time in newsagencies, with publishers SAM Media today announcing it will be withdrawn from sale at the end of February after three months of incredible sales.
"Early sales have been amazing," Yearbook photographer Scott Wensley said this week. "Many newsagencies in our prime areas have sold out, which means we have to look at how we can get more copies into those areas next time.
"But it is also means we will need to take the Yearbook off sale at the end of this month so that we can meet the continued demand or sales off our website."
Volume 1 of the Yearbook has gone down a treat with V8 Supercar fans, with many readers enjoying the book’s fresh look on the sport. With 11 pages or more devoted to each round in 2004 Series, and comprehensive statistics from those rounds, the V8 Supercar Yearbook is the most complete record of any V8 Supercar year in the sport’s history.
Volume Two, covering the 2005 V8 Supercar Championship Series will be on sale in December 2005.
• Strong sales mean the V8 Supercar Yearbook will be removed from sale in newsagencies at the end of February
• Internet sales will continue at v8yearbook.com
SAM Media is Scott Wensley, Andrew Clarke and Mark Horsburgh.
