
V8 Utes announce 2005 calendar

Following the recent signing of a multi year category management arrangement with CAMS, the Australian V8 Ute Racing Company - promoters of the V8 Ute series, today announced a 9 event calendar for 2005.
Headlining the year will be a first time appearance at the Melbourne Grand Prix, followed by an 8 round Championship series starting with the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.
Other key events include the Lexmark Indy 300 on the Gold Coast, the Sandown 500, Darwin’s Hidden Valley and a return to Symmons Plains Tasmania.
“What a great start for our new Company – a support to the V8 Supercar
circus with appearances in 5 states, a new television deal with Network Ten, and the chance to race in front of the biggest motorsport audiences in the country,” said category spokesman Craig Denyer.
“2005 could well be our biggest year yet.”

4 – 6 March AGP Non Championship
17 – 20 March Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar Championship
13 - 15 May Wakefield Park Level 2 Series V8
27 – 29 May Eastern Creek V8 Supercar Championship
1 – 3 July Hidden Valley V8 Supercar Championship
19 – 21 August Mallala Level 2 Series V8
9 - 11 September Sandown 500 V8 Supercar Championship
20 – 23 October Indy 300 V8 Supercar Championship
11 – 13 November Symmons Plains V8 Supercar Championship
