CAMS ANNOUNCES JUDICIAL PROCEDURE REVIEW

11/1/2005 16:29 (Press Release) - The Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) has announced a review
of its judicial process in relation to V8 Supercars.

The review aims to ensure best practice, international compatibility and
transportability and a judicial system that is both fair and transparent
for competitors and motor sport enthusiasts.

The review panel will be chaired by Lex Lasry QC and will review the
existing judicial process, penalties, timing of hearings and seek
information on best practice in other motor sport categories worldwide
and other sporting codes.

CAMS Chief Executive Officer Dr Rob Nethercote said that he had informed
AVESCO earlier this year of CAMS' intention to hold a review and had
received a presentation from them.

"We met AVESCO in Queensland last month where we received their initial
input," Dr Nethercote said. "We were impressed with their ideas, some
of which could be implemented immediately, and the panel will give due
consideration to their views.

"The purpose of the review is to ensure that the judicial process is the
best available and complies with the Federation International de
l'Automobile's (FIA) International Sporting Code.

"We are seeking submissions from relevant individuals and organisations
and the terms of reference for the review will be available on the CAMS
website," Dr Nethercote said.

The first meeting of the review panel is scheduled for 15 December and
the recommendations will be made public before the end of February next
year.
