BigPond takes V8 fans behind the scene of Holden Racing Team

V8 Supercar fans with BigPond Broadband are to get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the inner sanctum of Australia’s most famous touring car team – the Holden Racing Team.
The ‘Red Diaries’ are two, half-hour reality programs exclusive to BigPond’s www.v8supercar.bigpond.com site, which will chronicle a day-in-the-life of HRT from the BigPond Grand Finale, Eastern Creek Raceway (December 3-5).
Hosted by former V8 Supercar driver, Neil Crompton, the ‘Red Diaries’ will go behind the garage doors to follow the team from the initial garage set up, through the day to their evening meal - giving an inside look at every aspect that contributes to their winning formula.
BigPond Managing Director Justin Milne said the Red Diaries concept was the first of its kind for any sporting website.
“We are always looking for new, innovative and exclusive web content,” Mr Milne said.
“The ‘Red Diaries’ will take V8 Supercar fans where they have never been before, on an intimate look at the internal operations of HRT.
“The ‘Red Diaries’ will not only present the drivers but also the key people who bring the Holden Racing Team to life,” Mr Milne said.
Holden Racing Team owner/driver Mark Skaife is excited by the prospect of taking the Red Team to the people.
“The Red Diaries will give fans the chance to see what a race weekend is really like. So much hard work goes on behind the scenes with a dedicated crew making it all come together for each Round,” Mark Skaife said.
Part 1 of The Red Diaries will be webcast at 3.35 pm on Saturday 4th December on www.v8supercar.bigpond.com. Part 2 will be webcast at 3.05pm on Sunday 5th December. Subsequently Red Diaries will be available from the site’s video archives.
