V8 Supercars go Prime Time

Network Ten will broadcast race one of the 2004 V8 Supercar Series at Eastern Creek from 6.00pm – 7.30pm on Saturday, December 4. 2004 has been a year of firsts for the championship with this being the first time in history that V8 Supercars will be shown prime time and follows on from Network Ten’s historic Friday broadcast at this year’s Bathurst 1000.
It is likely that reigning V8 Supercar Series Champion Marcos Ambrose will wrap up the 2004 championship in race one.
Network Ten’s general manager, sport, David White said: “we have received strong support for prime time coverage of the race and in the spirit of further growing the sport we will be broadcasting from Eastern Creek immediately following Sports Tonight at 6pm”.
Broadcast details for round 13 of the V8 Supercar Series at Eastern Creek are:
Saturday, December 4:
· 4.00pm – 5.00pm: Top Ten Shootout
· 6.00pm – 7.30pm: Race 1
Sunday, December 5:
· 1.00pm – 5.00pm. Race 2 & 3
