STEWARDS INQUIRIES: V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES, ROUND 12, SYMMONS PLAINS RACEWAY (TAS), 12-14 NOVEMBER 2004

An inquiry commenced into an alleged breach of Technical Rules
concerning car #22, Holden Racing Team, following Race 2 at Round 11 of
the Championship, in that the ECU loom was found to include additional
wires and a resistor which differed from the schematic diagram. After
admitting to an unintentional breach of the Rules, a penalty of
exclusion from the results of Race 2 at Round 11 of the Championship was
imposed.

An inquiry continued into an incident from Round 11 of the Championship
between car #15, Rick Kelly, and car #50, Jason Bright, in which contact
was made between the two vehicles during Race 2. Mr Kelly admitted to a
breach of the Careless Driving rule, and in addition to the pit lane
penalty applied during the Race, a further penalty of a deduction of 50
Championship points and a fine of $5,000 was imposed.

SATURDAY 13 NOVEMBER

An inquiry commenced into an incident between Marcos Ambrose and Rick
Kelly in pit lane following Race 1 at Round 11 of the Championship where
it was alleged that Mr Ambrose breached Rule B6.5.14 (Intimidation and
Threats). The breach was proved and a penalty of a suspended fine of
$10,000 was imposed on the condition that Mr Ambrose not commit any
similar breach of the Rules prior to 31 December 2005.

The following cars received a loss of partial Qualifying times for
breaches of Pit Lane Weigh Scale Rules:
* Car #44, Simon Wills (Team Dynamik);
* Car #45, Dale Brede (Team Dynamik);
* Car #48, Owen Kelly (WPS Racing);
* Car #22, Todd Kelly (Holden Racing Team).

Car #50, Jason Bright, was excluded from the results of the Top 10
Shootout for failing to ensure that the car was at Pit Exit at the
required time.

Car #44, Simon Wills, was relegated to the rear of the grid for Race 2
in accordance with the Rules after completing an engine change.

SUNDAY 14 NOVEMBER

An inquiry was held into an alleged breach of Pit Lane Rules by Larkham
Motorsport in that the Car Controller failed to release car #20, Mark
Winterbottom, into the Fast Lane safely causing contact with car #34,
Garth Tander. The breach was admitted and a fine of $4,000 was imposed.

Car #23, David Besnard, and car #48, Owen Kelly, both received a black
flag during the warm up session to remove inappropriate signage material
from the top of their windscreens.

The following cars/drivers received a drive through penalty during Race
2:
* Car #88, Paul Radisich (Team Betta Electrical), for exceeding the Pit
Lane speed limit;
* Car #50, Jason Bright (PWR Racing) for a driving infringement.

An investigation commenced into the first Safety Car intervention during
Race 3. The matter was adjourned and will be continued following
receipt of further documentation.
