Tasmania V8 hero to make special Ford dealer appearance
26/11/2004 21:48 (Press Release) -
V8 Supercar Champion Marcos Ambrose (Pirtek Racing) will join Stone Brothers Racing teammate (Russell Ingall) for a special appearance at Tilford Ford, 35 Brisbane Street Hobart, on Wednesday 10 November between 10am-12pm.
Fans will not only get the chance to meet the Devil Racer and the Enforcer, they will also be able to purchase anything from the full range of team merchandise from the Stone Brothers Racing trailer.
This is the perfect opportunity to wish the Tasmanian champion all the best as he aims to secure his second-straight V8 title at Symmons Plains over the weekend of the 12-14 November.
It's the first time a V8 Supercar round has been held in Tasmania since 1999 and will be Ambrose's first V8 start at Symmons Plains.
Ambrose and the Stone Brothers Racing made the offer to visit Tilford Ford as a reward for being one of the biggest sellers of team merchandise anywhere in the country!
"Obviously coming from Tasmania I have a lot of fans and this was a great way to reward those people as well as the staff from Tilford Ford," said Ambrose.
"We'll have all the great range of team merchandise available and we'd love to see as many people as possible on the day.
"It's going to be a big week for myself. I'm finally looking forward to racing at home and securing another V8 Supercar Championship."
Ambrose holds a 166-point championship lead over Jason Bright. If he can leave Symmons Plains with a margin of 193 he will be crowned the 2004 V8 Supercar Champion. Ingall is fifth in the championship chase.
