RACQ Lend A Helping Hand To A Battered BA

9/11/2004 18:24 (Press Release) - One of Queensland’s largest insurance companies, RACQ, has partnered with
BJR for a joint marketing campaign at this year’s Indy 300 carnival on the
Gold Coast, starting this weekend.

The timely partnership comes just 10 days after BJR suffered their biggest
ever repair bill when their #21 OzEmail Falcon ended up on its roof at the
Bathurst 1000, receiving major damage.

Although rumours cannot be confirmed, it is believed that BJR Team Manager,
Kim Jones attempted to secure the services of the RACQ Insurance Selected
Repairer network to get the #21 Ford ready for the Indy event.

“Even with the size of RACQ repairer network, we still couldn’t have the
white OzEmail car ready. So instead the RACQ have made an investment into
our repair bill,” joked Jones.

Both OzEmail Falcon’s will carry RACQ signage on their bonnets this weekend
to promote the novel partnership.

“We’re proud to be associated with BJR for the Indy 300. As a Queensland
organisation, it’s great to have a first hand involvement in one of
Queensland’s biggest events,” said RACQ’s Executive Manager, Peter Hilan.

With his regular car still in pieces, Brad Jones will take to the Surfers
Paradise street circuit in John Bowe’s OzEmail Falcon from last year.

“I really don’t know what to expect. I haven’t driven this car for over 12
months and with Indy being such a demanding circuit, it’s going to be a
baptism of fire for me,” said Brad Jones.
