
FORD V8 STARS TO PROMOTE BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AT IND

October is Breast Cancer awareness month and all Ford V8 Supercar teams that
compete at this year's Indy Carnival on the Gold Coast from 21-24 October will
show their support.
All Ford V8 Supercars will carry special pink Ford windscreen banners to draw
attention to the fight against Breast Cancer.
Ford Racing has developed a relationship with the National Breast Cancer Foundation that has raised a total of $37,000 year to date.
$2000 was raised at this morning's Ford V8 Supercar Breakfast at Sea World, where 400 guests enjoyed a great rev-up to this weekend's racing activities.
Ford Racing legend Dick Johnson will briefly come out of retirement to drive
his team's #17 Falcon V8 Supercar on the Surfers Paradise street circuit as part the fundraising efforts.
$5000 was raised through an online auction for the lap with the Ford Racing legend.
The Ford Racing program is aiming to raise $50,000 towards the fight against
Breast Cancer over the final three rounds of this year's V8 Supercar Championship Series.
