STEWARDS INQUIRIES HELD AT THE V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES, ROUND

THURSDAY 7 OCTOBER
WPS Motorsport was found to be in breach of Rules, late attendance at
Team Managers Briefing; fined $250.
FRIDAY 8 OCTOBER
Car #05, Brock/Plato, was found to be in breach of Rules, exceeding the
pit lane speed limit, on two occasions; fined $200 for first offence and
$300 for second offence.
SATURDAY 9 OCTOBER
Car #1, Ambrose/Ritter, was found to be in breach of Rules, exceeding
the pit lane speed limit, after the Top 10 Shoot-out; fined $500.
Car #1, Ambrose, was found to be in breach of Rules, failing to obey the
directions of an Official and Briefing Notes to enter pit lane,
following the Top Ten Shoot-Out; fined $1,000.
Car #6, Seton/Lowndes, was found to be in breach of Rules, exceeding the
pit lane speed limit; fined $200.
Car #021, Baird/Porter, started race from rear of grid for second engine
change.
Car #5, Menu/Macrow, started the race from rear of grid for breach of
Weigh Scale Rules.
Car #888, Canto/Muller, started race from rear of grid for second engine
change.
Car #05, Brock/Plato, was found to be in breach of Supplementary
Regulation 2.19.1, crossing pit entry hatched area when entering pit
lane; fined $1,000
SUNDAY 10 OCTOBER
A Stewards' inquiry was conducted into an alleged breach of Rules by car
#12, Bowe/B Jones, regarding reports that the starter motor of car #12
had fallen off the car during practice. The Stewards were unable to
determine that a breach of the Rules had occurred. No further action was
taken, however the matter was referred to the Category Technical
Director for further investigation.
Car #05, Brock/Plato, was found to be in breach of Rules, careless
driving with regard to an incident with car #21, A Jones/Cleland, during
the race, when Plato failed to exercise sufficient care, in particular
by failing to keep sufficiently to the left of the track. The Stewards
imposed a penalty of a $10,000 fine.
The following cars/drivers received a drive-through penalty during the
race:
* Car #14, Noske/Holdsworth, for overlapping at a Safety Car
restart.
* Car #75, Tratt/Mezera, for speeding in pit lane.
* Car #888, Canto/Muller, for incorrect entry to pit lane.
