14/7/2000 10:45 (Shane Rogers) - Statistics for Round 8 of the 2000 Shell Championship Series, Winton Motor Raceway, near Benalla, Victoria.

This is the seventh time Winton Motor Raceway has played host to a V8Supercar meeting, the previous six meetings all being Shell Series Rounds. Winton was lengthened in 1997 and this is the fourth time V8Supercar has used the longer Winton layout. The rounds were won by Glenn Seton (1993 and 1994), John Bowe (1995 and 1998), Russell Ingall (1997) and Jason Bargwanna (1999).

The individual heats have been won by Glenn Seton (4), John Bowe (4), Jason Bargwanna (3), Russell Ingall (3) and Larry Perkins (1). The dashes have been won by Dick Johnson, Alan Jones, Tomas Mezera, Mark Poole, Anthony Tratt and Steve Reed.

Ford have won 8 races at Winton compared to Holden's 7.

Russell Ingall currently holds the lap record at 1:24.0045 and was set in 1997. The lap record on the shorter circuit is 1:00.2870 and was set by Glenn Seton in 1995.

Holdens outnumber Fords in the entry 25-15.

Making their Winton V8Supercar debuts are Craig Baird, Todd Kelly, Brad Jones, Joshua McIntosh/Rick Bates, John Cotter, Cameron McConville and Tyler Mecklem. John Bowe, Larry Perkins, Glenn Seton and Mark Skaife have started in all previous Winton V8 Rounds.

Russell Ingall has scored the most championship points at Winton (328) compared to John Bowe (303).

The most experienced driver present in the entry list is Glenn Seton with 255 race starts. The least experienced are Joshua McIntosh/Rick Bates and Tyler Mecklem, who are both having their first V8Supercar starts.
