Melbourne to rev up to V8's with Ford Superbreakfast
5/9/2004 23:15 (Press Release) -
Ahead of the Betta Electrical Sandown 500, Melbourne race fans will get the chance to dine and chat with their favourite Ford V8 Supercar driver at the Ford V8 Superbreakfast to be held at the Palladium Room at Crown Casino on Thursday 9 September from 7.30am to 9am.
All 30 of Ford’s officially supported drivers will be at the Melbourne V8 Superbreakfast, on the eve of round #9 of the V8 Supercar Series.
2003 was one of the Blue Oval’s most successful years on record, with championship trophies going to Marcos Ambrose, Pirtek Racing and Ford.
The Betta Electrical Sandown 500 is the first of the endurance events of the 2004, with two drivers sharing each car for the 500km race.
Ford’s resurgence in 2003 has generated plenty of interest. Due to overwhelming demand for driver appearances, Ford decided to bring everyone together for a massive pre-race function.
Last year’s Melbourne V8 Superbreakfast was a sell-out, so fans are advised to get in early.
The Ford V8 Superbreakfast includes exclusive driver interviews, comedy appearance by Elliot Goblet, highlights of the 2004 season, special gifts and giveaways.
One of the highlights of the event is an auction for a hot lap with the man who finished second at last year’s Betta Electrical Sandown 500, Steve Ellery of the Super Cheap Auto Racing Falcon. There will also be a separate raffle with lots of great prizes. All proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Research.
Tickets are priced at $80 (plus booking fee) and can be booked through www.Ticketmaster7.com or by calling 13 61 00.
