Rick Kelly makes a charge at Oran Park

Young gun Rick Kelly has made a big charge for pole position at round eight of the V8 Supercar Championship Series by finishing fastest in qualifying at Oran Park Raceway in Sydney today.
The 21-year-old is currently third in the championship and making a serious assault for the lead. He finished fastest today and will this afternoon contest the Top 10 shootout to decide pole position.
Kelly was followed home in qualifying by current series champion Marcos Ambrose, five-time champion Mark Skaife, Jason Bright, Paul Morris, Simon Wills, Russell Ingall, Jason Richards, Greg Murphy and Todd Kelly.
Two 140 kilometre races will decide round eight tomorrow.
