Chance of a LIfetime competition set to explode across Australia

14/8/2004 15:23 (Press Release) - The wait is finally over for Australian drivers who have dreamt of motor sport stardom with the 2004 Chance of a Lifetime Competition to take off across the nation from September.

With rounds to take place in five states the competition is sure to be tight as drivers battle each other for a seat in either the 2005 MoPro Cup, the Aussie Racing Cars, or both the 2005 Kumho Tyres Lotus Trophy and 2006 Konica Minolta V8 Supercars.

Since its inception four years ago the Chance of a Lifetime competition has been based solely in NSW but with 2004 heralding in a new era it is guaranteed to unearth a wealth of new talent for Australian motor sport.

The competition is split into three levels each representing a different category of racing, with participants able to choose a level that best suits their own goals as well as their driving styles, creating a competition that has something for everyone.

Level one is known as the Experienced level and the prize will consist of the Lotus Trophy and Konica Minolta drives, level two or Intermediate level is the Aussie Legends and level three, the Novice level will encompass the Mopro Cup.

The Chance of a Lifetime competition has been carefully designed to be totally unbiased and to provide a level playing field for all entrants.

Drivers compete in an elimination programme on the race track, in a MoPro one make series race car, in which all cars are prepared to equal standards and performance levels, this program provides the opportunity to aspiring drivers of varying talents the chance to compete in differing levels of motorsport throughout Australia.

As well as being based on a level playing field the Chance of a Lifetime competition also prides itself on offering contestants an affordable entry into the often bank-breaking world of motorsport.

“The Chance of a Lifetime competition gives drivers from all backgrounds and all degrees of racing experience the opportunity to get out on the track and show what they can do,” said Paul Pickett from Mopro Australia.

“It gives drivers a real chance to pursue their racing dreams without the costs that stop so many hopefuls,” he said.
