RETRACTION - Romano news in "Grid Lines" dated May 27
7/6/2000 21:59 (Jason Whittaker) - On the 27th of May, this Web Site published news (in a “Grid Lines” article) on the possible shut-down of the Romano garage. It has come to our attention that this report, and other news within the article, has no truth to it whatsoever, and we therefore wish to retract this story and convey our deepest apologises to the Romano team.
The news published which suggested the Romano garage would “shut-up shop” this year is completely false. Further, allegations that were made concerning Paul Romano were also completely untrue.
It was not the intention of myself, nor this publication, to defame Paul Romano, or the Romano team, in any way whatsoever. However, if this has occurred, we sincerely apologise.
It must be said that the health and future of the Romano operation have never once come into question, and therefore the report published which suggested this, must be disregarded completely.
Again, we deeply apologise for any stress or damage this has caused to the parties concerned.
