BigPond Broadband Live V8 Supercars coverage goes worldwide

14/8/2004 14:42 (Press Release) - Australia’s leading Internet services provider BigPond today announced its broadband website v8supercars.bigpond.com would now be accessible to BigPond Broadband customers from anywhere in the world.

This new feature would allow V8 Supercar fans, who hold BigPond Broadband accounts, to have remote access to all features of the website via any broadband connection, so they can see all the action when they are travelling or not at their own personal computer

BigPond Broadband customers would be able to log on from any broadband connection using their username and password.

BigPond Managing Director, Justin Milne, said the new access feature gave customers the option to view the V8 Supercar website from remote locations without being connected to their own broadband account.

“BigPond’s broadband V8 Supercar website provides arguably the best on-line motorsport experience in the world and following fan feedback we have created a way for them to be able to access their favourite site remotely,” he said.

“No longer will customers have to be at home in front of their own computer to access the site. It is as easy as going into an internet café or if travelling with your own laptop, logging in via your hotel’s broadband connection,” Mr Milne said.

There are no additional BigPond charges for customers who use this new access feature, however charges might be incurred via other ISPs for data usage.
