Popularity soars for Bob Jane T-Marts 1000

There’s no doubting the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 at Bathurst’s Mount Panorama will be the place to be on October 7-10 as an unprecedented surge in general ticket sales and grandstand bookings have organisers working overtime to cater to the demand.
In a dramatic move a second extension to the Bob Jane T-Marts grandstand has had to be implemented and there’s a genuine perception that 2004 may provide the biggest ever turnout of V8 Supercar fans in the 42-year history of the ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN.
“Only three weeks ago an extra 101 seats were incorporated into the Bob Jane T-Marts grandstand but already they’ve been snapped up by eager fans,” said IMG Director of Motorsport James O’Brien.
“The second extension will add another 100 seats to the area bringing its revamped capacity to more than 500 people.
“Such a response may be due to the inclement weather being experienced throughout most parts of New South Wales.
“The Bob Jane T-Marts grandstand represents great value for money.
“It is a covered stand that incorporates closed circuit televisions and a big screen TV on the opposite side of the track.
“But the message is clear, anyone wanting to book a seat for this prime location situated outside turn 1 (Shell Corner) will need to get in early as demand is certainly at an all-time high.”
Unlike many of the grandstand seating areas at Mount Panorama that have the option of extending their capacity, Grandstand 8 has already had the full-house sign erected for some time now.
However like any major sporting venue there are many other attractive seating options available during the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000.
The main grandstand area located opposite Pit Lane is also proving a popular choice among motor racing fans and an additional 250 seats have already been established.
All grandstand seating purchasers will go into the draw to win a unique, money can’t buy racing experience during the UTLIMATE SHOWDOWN.
The pre-purchase ticketing incentive will have one lucky fan watching Friday’s crucial qualifying session from either the Ford Performance Racing or PWR Racing team’s pit garage, plus win a set of four Dunlop SP3000A tyres that will be fitted and balanced at any Bob Jane T-Marts store in Australia.
In an even more complementary variable to the uptake of grandstand seating has been the phenomenal growth being experienced in general ticket sales.
“For the corresponding period last year we are currently up by 60% on general ticket sales,” added O’Brien.
“This has also been reflected in the demand for campground sites so overall we are tracking well ahead of our targets and looking forward to a fitting ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN event.”
