TKR in Top Ten Shootout

Team Kiwi Racing, the small privateer team from New Zealand have again showed what dedication and hard work can achieve, qualify inside the top ten today for tomorrow's 280km V8 Supercar race at Queensland Raceway.
Following on from the promising signs shown so far this year, including leading race one at the previous round of the V8 Supercar Championship in Perth, Western Australia for 15 laps and sitting in 3rd for another 9 laps, Team Kiwi driver Craig Baird is excited about the future direction of TKR.
"At the beginning of the year I asked for a certain car and race package that allowed me to capitalise on all the hard work and long hours the small but dedicated TKR crew put in just getting the racecar to the race track"
"Team Management provided me with the car I asked for and it is great for all of the team not just me to see the progress we are making in this cut throat business"
TKR have still plenty of room for improvement but to be inside the top ten at any round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship is a big achievement in its own right.
"Craig has always said if we give him the right package he will get the results"
"I believe Craig has shown that to be the case so far this year and as we continue to invest into further development as we can afford to race by race on our limited budget, we are all looking forward to keeping the ALL BLACK V8 Supercar as far forward in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship as we can". Qualifying results before the top ten shoot out are as follows.
The worst case scenario is TKR will start 10th on the grid for tomorrow's race but have the opportunity to move even further forward during the shoot out of the top ten cars before the race start this afternoon.
