Holden Heavyweights PWR Join Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 Ticketing Promotion

Holden V8 Supercar heavyweight PWR Racing has joined with Dunlop Tyres and Ford Performance Racing to encourage fans to book their grandstand seats early for this year’s Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 from October 7-10 at Bathurst’s Mount Panorama.
Up for grabs for earlybirds is a place alongside PWR Racing team officials during Friday’s crucial qualifying session of the ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN.
Additionally, the V8 Supercar team is offering a guided pit tour.
The lucky winner will also have their own vehicle decked out with a set of four Dunlop SP3000A tyres, fitted and balanced at any Bob Jane T-Marts store in Australia.
Dunlop is the official supplier of tyres to the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series.
Any person who books their Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 grandstand seating before September 24 automatically qualifies for the prize draw.
The winner will have the option of taking up the money-can’t-buy PWR Racing package, or to enjoy Friday qualifying from inside the Ford Performance Racing team pit garage, which also represents a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
On track, the PWR Racing team boasts a proven line-up of top performers who’ll be itching to get back to Mt Panorama.
Jason Bright and Paul Weel will again team up in the #50 PWR Racing Commodore after an accident in last year’s race put them out of contention, and both agree the experience of the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 lifts the performance bar for all drivers.
“It’s the one everyone wants to win,” Weel said. “Jason and I were running very strongly last year when our day ended, and recent form suggests we will be even more competitive this year.
“There’s definitely a bit of a buzz in our team garage this year and it will be a pretty lucky fan who gets to experience the thrill of watching qualifying from the inner sanctum.”
Bright, an ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN winner in 1998 with Steven Richards, can attest to how sweet victory is in the most famous of endurance events.
The 31 year-old is one of the most consistent performers in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series, having finished in the top five the past three seasons and with multiple round wins already under his belt this year.
But he admits standing on top of the podium at Mount Panorama is something every driver dreams of.
“Winning at Bathurst in 1998 was without doubt the greatest moment of my career in V8 Supercars,” Bright said. “It’s the one everyone wants to win and I’m here to tell you that once is never enough.
“We went there last year with big hopes and a good chance, this year we’re 12 months older, wiser and hungrier. I hope there’s a great crowd to watch us because at the end of the day I’d like to be waving to them from the top of the podium!”
Organisers of this year’s Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 are expecting fans to take full advantage of this rare opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite teams during the biggest occasion on the Australian V8 Supercar calendar.
