Jones-E’s web site – up and running!

4/5/2000 14:53 (Shane Rogers) - It’s been a busy few weeks at Brad Jones Racing. After rebuilding the race car after a massive accident and Adelaide, then finishing in the top 10 for the first time at Eastern Creek, BJR have launched their Internet site with the help of their primary sponsor OzEmail Internet.

The slick design web site (www.ozemailracing.com.au) contains information on the team, the car, a photo gallery, and the opportunity to purchase OzEmail racing merchandise over the Internet. “We are in the process of getting more photos of the car…and are hoping to take photos of Brad wearing all the team merchandise,” said Bernie Smith from Brad Jones Racing.

The site has been eagerly anticipated, as it is expected to become one of the more popular team web sites over time, due to the influence of the major sponsor. Smith added: “There is still a fair bit of work to go on it (the web site), but it looks great so far.”

The site will have tough competition in it’s early stages against the already established team sites of Holden Special Vehicles/Holden Racing Team and Shell’s Dick Johnson Racing.

Brad Jones Racing achieved their first race and event V8Supercar top ten finishes at Eastern Creek, finishing ninth in the third race and tenth overall. BJR’s previous best race finish was 16th.

This good finish was despite the fact that the team worked non-stop after Adelaide to rebuild the car. “…the team put in such an effort to get the car up and running it was unbelievable. They had one day off between Adelaide and Eastern Creek - Easter Sunday, the rest of the time they were flat out,” said Smith.
