Tander Launches New Interactive Website

V8 Supercar star Garth Tander this week officially launched his new interactive website – www.garthtander.com. The new fan website is the brainchild of Tander who has created an exclusive section on the site that will provide fans with a unique perspective and input on all critical motorsport issues.
The exclusive section of the site is called Backfire!
“Rather than just giving the fans the usual driver background, history and latest results-type of material, I wanted to do something a little different and I think it will prove really popular” Garth said.
In a bold move, Tander is placing the success of his website initiative into the hands of all motorsport fans – something he is entirely comfortable with.
“For too long it has been a one-way street for motorsport fans,” Garth said.
“The television networks and print media serve up a great product, but the fans receive little opportunity to offer input or present their views in a manner that would carry any real weight.
“The aim of Backfire! is to firstly encourage fans to participate and then build the website’s reputation as the most respected source for gauging public opinion on all of the important and relevant motorsport issues” Tander explained.
Hoping to differentiate itself from the abundance of V8 Supercar related websites, Backfire! will cover a cross-section of motorsports, including V8 Supercars, Formula One, Moto GP, Rallying, NASCAR and other categories from time to time.
“Rather than just focusing on V8 Supercars, I think the typical motorsport fan follows the sport across many of its categories. We want to provide them with an avenue to air their views and a facility to present the general fan consensus on all the issues and happenings in our sport”.
Fans are encouraged to participate in the survey-type format, and results are updated regularly. Unique prizes are on offer to participants, including clothing vouchers, magazine subscriptions and other exciting items.
