Holden Racing Team in top five in NZ

PWR Racing’s Jason Bright set a new qualifying lap record to take provisional pole for tomorrow’s first race of the 3rd round of the 2004 V8 Supercar Championship. Bright gapped Marcos Ambrose by more than 2/10ths of a second, with the HRT pair of Mark Skaife and Todd Kelly in 4th and 5th. Final grid positions will be determined in tomorrow morning’s Top 10 Shoot Out.

“That’s a pretty good start as, somewhere in the Top 5 is where we wanted to be so I’m happy with that. I think there’s more to come from the cars but the unknown quantity is the weather; if it does rain as they predict on Sunday, then it’s a lottery.”
