Bowe Fastest In First Practice For PlaceMakers V8 International

Experienced Australian John Bowe was the quickest in first practice for the PlaceMakers V8 International at Pukekohe Park Raceway today.
Bowe, in the Ozemail Ford, clocked 57.04sec for his fastest lap in the first practice, which was red-flagged midway through the 35-minute session after Brad Jones spun off at the end of the back straight.
Five-times V8 Supercar champion Mark Skaife (Holden Racing Team) was close behind on 57.12sec, just ahead of defending series champion Marcos Ambrose (Pirtek Ford).
Three time Pukekohe round champion Greg Murphy was eighth quickest with 1.2 seconds covering the leading 28 cars.
Ford Performance Car’s Craig Lowndes faces a busy afternoon, after suffering gearbox problems in the first session.
There is a further practice session before this afternoon’s qualifying for the V8 Supercars.
