FPR BRINGS A NEW COLOUR TO THE RED VS BLUE BATTLE

Ford Performance Racing (FPR) has introduced a new colour to
the traditional red versus blue V8 Supercar battle - green. This is due to the
introduction of the team's new and completely environmentally friendly FPR
merchandise carry packs.
The new FPR carry packs replace the traditional plastic carry bags provided to
race fans when purchasing merchandise at V8 Supercar events, general public
appearances and from the FPR Race Centre retail outlet.
The use of these attractive and fully bio-degradable FPR carry packs is a green
initiative that is aligned directly with community concerns regarding the
excessive use of plastic bags in the retail industry.
Style has not been compromised with these new environmentally friendly FPR
carry packs which are durable and re-usable. The larger FPR carry packs also
double as backpacks, making them ideal for other general uses.
FPR is the first V8 Supercar team to end the use of plastic bags in their
merchandising operations, the pro-active team leading the way in socially
responsible industry practice.
According to Ken Wilson, FPR Merchandise Manager, "FPR carry packs are great
looking, very easy to carry and will cause no harm to the environment. We hope
that this green initiative will start a new off track battle - which team can
be the most environmentally friendly."
V8 Supercar fans can purchase licensed merchandise from the Ford, Ford
Performance Vehicles (FPV) and FPR ranges at the FPR Race Centre retail outlet,
located at 4- 40 Glenbarry Road, Campbellfield (VIC) from 9:00am- 5:00pm Monday
to Friday and 9:00am- 1:00pm on Saturdays. FPV and FPR merchandise items can
also be viewed and purchased on line at www.fpv.com.au.
