
Brad Jones Announces Local Sporting Partnership

One of Albury/Wodonga’s greatest sportsmen, Brad Jones, has today announced that he has joined forces with prominent local business, the SS&A Club which will see the nine times Australian Champion work more closely with the sporting and general community in the Border region.
During the official launch, Jones was formally acknowledged by Chief Executive Officer Andrew Terry as the SS&A Club’s first ever Ambassador, a title that comes with a range of responsibilities.
“I’m really excited to have been chosen by the SS&A Club as their Ambassador and it’s something that I’m looking forward to being a part of for a number of years,” said Brad Jones.
“I’ve been looking at ways that I could give back to the community that has given me so much support since I started my motorsport career and this works just perfectly. My role as an SS&A Club Ambassador will involve working with the club’s affiliated sporting clubs, schools, the youth and of course the club’s large membership base,” Jones added.
“As part of the arrangement, local people will have better access to me and the entire Brad Jones Racing team. We plan to have my OzEmail Falcon inside the club at certain times of the year and run a number of promotions that will give Border residents the chance to come on a hotlap with me or join the team for a race weekend,” he said.
The SS&A Club are one of the largest financial supporters of the region’s sporting community and according to CEO, Andrew Terry, an association with one of the biggest names was a natural progression -

It is believed that Brad Jones’ Ambassadorship will run for a minimum of five years, a deal that shows the commitment to the concept by both parties.
“Just like Andrew [Terry] said, we have signed this agreement with the sole purpose of it being a long term benefit to all concerned, especially the people of Albury/Wodonga,” Jones concluded.
Jones will assist the SS&A Club in its involvement with the many sporting codes it supports including the Ovens and Murray Football League, cricket, hockey and a host of others, imparting on the region’s up and coming sporting stars a level of knowledge that has made him one of the most respected and successful sportsman in his field.
