DJR appoints new Business Manager
5/4/2000 15:32 (Jason Whittaker) - Dick Johnson has today announced a new member of his off-track squad, appointing businessman Stephen Horton as the team's new Business Manager.
Horton, who brings over 20 years of management experience to the position, will work with Managing Director Dick Johnson to oversee the running of the team's multi-million dollar outer-Brisbane headquarters.
"We're very pleased to have someone of Stephen's ability on board," recently retired legend, Dick Johnson, said.
"With Stephen's successful track record in business, I've no doubt he has the skills and expertise to take us to the next level. I'm looking forward to working with him in achieving that."
After working for some of the country's top companies, Horton is now looking forward to the challenge of managing one of the nation's top sporting teams.
"It's exciting to be involved in the top level motorsport category in the country and with one of the leading V8 Supercar teams, especially at a time when the category is growing at such a fast pace," Horton said.
"There are so many great opportunities available to us right now and I'm looking forward to making the most of them," he said.
