Dunlop Strikes Again With Kmart Racing

Dunlop Tyres has formed an invaluable partnership with the Kmart Racing team, which further enhances Dunlop’s commitment to Australian motorsport and strengthens its relationship with Kmart as a whole.
As the official tyre for the V8 Supercar series, Dunlop’s support for the Kmart Racing team emphasises its dedication to the series and its ever-increasing presence with the sport.
At a retail level, Kmart Tyre and Auto Service outlets are a major distribution channel for Dunlop Tyres, and their involvement with Kmart Racing is a natural extension to the existing retail activity.
“We are very excited by the possibilities that the relationship between Dunlop Tyres and Kmart Racing presents,” says Dunlop Motorsport Marketing Manager, Leisa Emberson.
“The partnership reinforces Dunlop’s commitment to supplying Australia’s premier motorsport category with the very best tyres and service available in the V8 Supercar series.
“It’s also a fantastic extension to Dunlop’s involvement with Kmart Tyre and Auto Service retail outlets.”
As the official control tyre for the V8 Supercars Dunlop actively utilises its motorsport involvement as a major part of its broader marketing platform.
The Kmart Racing team is about to embark on its most competitive V8 Supercar season to date, and has two serious title contenders in drivers Greg Murphy and Rick Kelly.
“Our Kmart Racing Holden Commodore was fitted with Dunlop’s when Rick and I won Bathurst last October, and helped us set the quickest lap ever recorded around the Mount Panorama circuit,” says Greg Murphy.
“We are delighted that Dunlop has joined Kmart Racing and we are looking forward to them playing an integral part in our 2004 V8 Supercar Championship campaign.”
The sponsorship will see Dunlop support and promote the Kmart Racing team in a number of ways, and in return the striking new livery for the Kmart Racing Team features the inclusion of the Dunlop logo on the front quarter panels.
The Kmart Racing team will next hit the track for the first championship round of the 2004 Supercar Season, the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, from the 19th – 21st of March.
