New Car, New HQ, New Look for Thexton
16/3/2004 17:40 (Press Release) -
Supported by a new BA falcon, new headquarters and an eye-catching new livery, Thexton Motor Racing (TMR) moves into it’s first full year of competing in the V8 Supercar Series, looking to turn last years lessons into consistent performances across the whole 2004 season.
With the standard pre-season delays out the way, testing of the new BA commenced last week, enabling the team to prepare for this weekend’s Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. The pre-season preparations have been even more hectic because of the team’s move into a brand new head quarters based in Yatala. Owner-driver David Thexton states “By investing substantially in a new building and equipment we are creating a state of the art head quarters to match the teams ambitions not only for this year but also for the future. We think the V8 Supercars are going to get even bigger and we want to be a part of that growth.”
The overhaul of TMR includes a new livery to support its primary sponsors’ online health store thexton.com.au’s, own re-branding exercise. TMR has also decided to keep last year’s AU Falcon for use at corporate track days as well as an additional vehicle for testing purposes.
thexton.com.au marketing head, Tim Spence-Thomas described their involvement with TMR as a “great way to spread a healthy message to a national audience and as an additional platform for our suppliers to promote their specific products.”
