Team Betta Electrical Top Ford in Qualifying

Paul Radisich, driving the Team Betta Electrical car #88 qualified 3rd fastest in today’s session, just 0.74 seconds behind Mark Skaife in the HRT Holden.
Radisich paced himself in the early stages of qualifying entering the pits with just 13 minutes remaining to take a new set of tyres.
He returned to the circuit to post a blistering time of 2:00.410 to secure 3rd fastest time behind Mark Skaife and Greg Murphy.
The temperatures were in the high 30’s and the winds gusting North Westerly and blowing across the circuit. Because of this the fans are not about to see any exceptional times.
“Its is pleasing to have been the fastest ford out there, considering the car is brand new and only completed a handful of laps in testing last Friday, it certainly gives us great confidence for the future,” said Radisich.
“Tomorrow’s another day and we have the entire season to continue to perfect every aspect of the car.”
“It certainly gives us confidence knowing we are breathing down the neck of HRT’s Skaife.” Radisich concluded.
With only two Fords featuring in the top ten fastest qualifying, the second being Stone Brothers, Marcos Ambros, positioned 8th fastest in today’s qualifying session.
Max Wilson, driving the second Team Betta Electrical BA Falcon, car 77, only managing to make 29th position.
“It’s taking me a little while to dial into the new car, but I’m confident I will be on the pace for tomorrow’s race one of ten laps”, said Wilson.
Radisich slipped back five places in the shootout and will start tomorrows race one in 8th place on the grid, with only Ambrose and Radisich to represent the Blue Oval in the first 10 starters.
