Shane Beikoff Racing Upgrades To AU And Increases Sponsorship

19/1/2004 14:17 (Press Release) - Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series Team Shane Beikoff Racing has today announced they have purchased an AU Falcon V8 Supercar to compete in the 2004 Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series.

The ex-Rod Salmon AU Falcon body shell was acquired from Craig Bastian by Shane Beikoff Racing recently, and is currently in the process of being prepared to run in the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series for 2004.

Using the ex-Stone Brothers Racing equipment from the team's EL Falcons, they can expect to roll onto the grid for Round 1 of the Konica Minolta Series at Wakefield Park with increased confidence of achieving a Top 15 result, says the team's Manager & Driver Shane Beikoff.

"With the increased professionalism & competitiveness of V8 Supercar racing these days, it's getting harder & harder to show speed & shine. However, we believe with our knowledge of V8 Supercars since 2002 & great technical support that has come with the purchase of this car, we know we have the goods to really impress with the AU in '04," Beikoff explained.

The Team has also announced that they shall receive increased support for the 2004 Series from Dieseltech Springwood, which will run as the Major Sponsor for Shane Beikoff Racing for the majority of the season. Dieseltech Springwood is a repair & servicing business for diesel injection systems for 4WD, truck & marine engines, based on the south side of Brisbane.

Beikoff is pleased with the new support, stating it will greatly assist the team to compete in 2004.

"We really were struggling throughout 2003 to meet budgets and, consequently, had to miss a couple of Rounds in order to stay involved in V8 Supercars. With this new sponsorship, we're very excited to be able to compete in the Series in 2004. I'm sure hoping to repay Dieseltech Springwood for their support with great results in the Konica Minolta Series," an excited Beikoff described.

Shane Beikoff Racing has also received additional support from Turbo Brisbane in Archerfield. Turbo Brisbane is a young, dynamic company with some involvement in motorsport turbochargers and sees great benefits in becoming involved in V8 Supercars. Protec Paints & Valvoline Oils will also support the Brisbane team for 2004, ensuring a well balanced support system from sponsors.

With the race car, engineering, and sponsor support moulded for '04, Shane Beikoff Racing is currently seeking drivers for selected Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Rounds this year, with Beikoff stating the team is now sufficiently established & committed to compete for the next few years.

"We are well placed now with our team equipment & structure to give a new V8 Supercar driver a chance to display their talent," Beikoff explains.

"The level of professionalism which the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series has reached is a fantastic platform for us to follow, and we are pleased to be part of the action in '04," Beikoff commented.

With the team's 2004 livery already released 10 days ago (which is available for viewing on the Shane Beikoff Racing website, www.shanebeikoffracing.com.au), the team is now turning it's attention towards preparing their new car for a test day at Queensland Raceway on 9th February, in order to test components & gain valuable information on car set-up. The team will then look towards Round 1 of the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series at Wakefield Park on 21st/22nd February.

Shane Beikoff Racing is proudly sponsored in 2004 by Dieseltech Springwood, Ironfarmers Parts & Equipment, Turbo Brisbane, Tractor & Engine Spares, Rebel Signs, Sumner Park Smash Repairs, Shane Beikoff Racing V8 Hot Laps, Protec Paints, Valvoline Oils & Competition Coatings.
