V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES, R2, PLACEMAKERS NZ V8 INTERNATIONAL,
NEW ZEALAND

Matters arising from Race 2:
Following an investigation by the IPO and an admission by the
competitor, the Stewards found that car #22, Todd Kelly, was in breach
of the rules, reckless driving, involving an incident with car #67, Paul
Morris during the safety car period. The Stewards imposed a time penalty
equivalent to a 10 second stop/time/go (45 seconds total) to car #22's
Race 2 time plus a $5,000 fine.

The following drivers were reprimanded for their standard of driving
during a safety car period:
* Car #11, Steve Richards;
* Car #16 Garth Tander;
* Car #18 Glenn Seton;
* Car #33, Cameron McConville; and
* Car #45, Max Wilson.

Matters arising from Race 3:
Following an investigation by the IPO, car #24, Paul Dumbrell, was
charged with a breach of the rules, reckless driving (B6.7.3), involving
an incident with car #8, Craig Baird. Paul Dumbrell entered a plea of
not guilty and requested a Steward's Hearing. The hearing was opened. Mr
Dumbrell sought an adjournment to obtain a witness and collate evidence.
The hearing has been adjourned to a date yet to be set, but not before
26 April 2005. The hearing will conclude prior to the next V8 Supercar
Championship Series round in Western Australia.

The following matters are still to be investigated by the IPO in the
next week:
* A possible breach of rule, B6.5.13 (offering threats or
intimidation) by a representative of WPS Racing;
* Possible pit lane breach by car #45, Max Wilson; and
* Possible driving breach by car #10, Jason Bargwana and
car #23, Jamie Whincup.
